Matt Simpkins

Associate

Matt joined Kimmel & Associates in 2023 as an Associate in the Concrete Division.

He earned a BS in in Business Management from Mars Hill University and has 18 years of experience in sales, construction, and finance.

Outside of the office, he enjoys spending time with his family and friends.

We sat down with Matt and asked him the following:

• What do you like most about working at Kimmel & Associates?
  I enjoy the team atmosphere that Kimmel & Associates offers, while at the same time being in a competitive industry. Seeing the amount of tenure that Kimmel’s employees have is truly unique and refreshing.
  
  The opportunity to help fill positions for our clients while at the same time being able to connect people with a career opportunity that they’re looking for is also a unique consultative position where you get to help both parties.
• What is one thing you learned early in your career that has made you successful?
  The value of time.
• What is your greatest strength in your role?
  Persistence and patience, or my willingness to try and become more patient every day.
• Describe the most rewarding experience of your career.
  Hopefully that is yet to come.
• What causes are you passionate about?
  I would like to start some sober living homes or facilities one day. Also, finding an alternative to homelessness that could benefit our cities, as well as our homeless population.
• How do you spend your free time?
  Playing/teaching basketball and football with my son. I also enjoy hiking and golf, when I can find the time!
