Mikena Manspeaker

Market Leader

Mikena joined Kimmel & Associates in 2023 as a Market Leader in the Renewable Energy & Sustainable Infrastructure Division.

She leads finance-focused roles in renewables and sustainability, working with various energy transition verticals such as solar, wind, water, storage, hydrogen, RNG, Biogas, and various other industrial niches. Mikena works with investment funds, private equity, venture capital, owners/developers, IPPs, contractors, OEMs, and O&M providers.

Mikena earned a BS in Finance from the University of Pittsburgh. Pittsburgh is also her hometown - Go Steelers! Outside of the office, she enjoys spending time hiking and backpacking in the Blue Ridge Mountains with her dog, Rolig.

We sat down with Mikena and asked her the following:

• What do you like most about working at Kimmel & Associates?
  There is a sincerity in the work being done here and it makes you feel proud to be a part of a company that wholeheartedly believes in what they are doing.
• What is one thing you learned early in your career that has made you successful?
  Being genuine goes a long way; we are all human!
• What is your greatest strength in your role?
  Communication and resiliency. These two attributes alone can take you far in any role, but in recruiting they feel essential.
• Do you have a favorite quote?
  “You can’t see the forest for the trees.”
• What causes are you passionate about?
  Mitigating climate change and staying healthy.
• How do you spend your free time?
  I love to keep busy. Outside of work you will find me working on house projects; I am currently restoring an old stone building. I love hiking, backpacking, working out, acrobatics, and live music. When I need to slow down, you’ll find me with a coffee and a book.
