Dema joined Kimmel & Associates in 2023 as an Associate in the Supply Chain and Logistics Division.
Dema earned her bachelor’s degree in Public Relations and Mass Communications from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. She has 15 years of progressive experience in purchasing, product development, and account management in the clothing and accessories industries.
Outside of the office, she enjoys spending time with her family and friends.
We sat down with Dema and asked her the following:
What do you like most about working at Kimmel & Associates?
I love the Kimmel mission, which is to improve the lives of our clients, candidates, families, and communities. Each day can feel like an opportunity to give.
What is one thing you learned early in your career that has made you successful?
To be honest and transparent — even if it means asking awkward questions and admitting what I don’t know.
What is your greatest strength in your role?
My greatest strength is that I’m much more introverted than I seem to be. I love talking to others, but it’s in my nature to want to learn more about others rather than to blab about myself.
Describe the most rewarding experience of your career.
When I worked in product development I was able to help an 80-year-old woman manufacture and market a product that she had designed a prototype for when she was 50. Helping her achieve her dream was rewarding and reminded me that you’re never too old to pursue your dreams.
What causes are you passionate about?
I am passionate about any effort or organization that brings higher educational opportunities to children in need, or resources and/or support that expose kids and teens from all social backgrounds to visual and immersive arts.
How do you spend your free time?
I have a co-dependency situation going on with my family, husband, and dog. We are often found hanging out, all together, in someone’s kitchen. Making and sharing food is definitely something that I love.
