Tim Anderson

Associate

Tim joined Kimmel & Associates in 2026 as an Associate in the Mechanical & Electrical Division. He brings over a decade of experience in mechanical construction, sales, business development, and leadership, combining industry knowledge with a results-driven approach to recruiting top talent.

Raised in the construction and mechanical industries, Tim gained hands-on experience working alongside his family across multiple trades while helping operate their businesses. He began his formal education with an Associate of Applied Science from Asheville-Buncombe Technical College, building a strong foundation in the technical and practical aspects of the field. Driven by a passion for the business and sales side of the industry, Tim transitioned into a career in business sales and leadership and is currently pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration to further his expertise.

Tim and his wife, Haley, have two children, Dawson and Allie. In his free time, he enjoys exploring the outdoors with his family, seeking out new adventures together.

We sat down with Tim and asked him the following:

  • What do you like most about working at Kimmel & Associates?
I love helping leaders unlock the next chapter of their career. Executive recruiting gives me the opportunity to impact organizations at their highest levels while supporting professionals as they step into roles where they can truly thrive. It’s meaningful work connecting great people with great opportunities and watching both sides grow because of it.
  • What is one thing you learned early in your career that has made you successful?
One thing I learned early in my career is that recruiting is not just about filling a role. It is about placing the right person in the right position. A perfect placement happens when a candidate’s skillset, values, and work style align with a company’s culture and environment. Once aligned, candidates thrive and clients gain long-term value rather than a quick fix.
  • What is your greatest strength in your role?
My greatest strength is building strong relationships by being transparent and really tuning in to what people need. That helps me spot leadership potential and make sure the right fit is in place for the team and organization to thrive.
  • Describe the most rewarding experience of your career.
The most rewarding part of my work has been watching individuals I’ve hired or coached grow into impactful leaders as they earn promotions, take on greater responsibility, and build high-performing teams. Helping place talent in roles that accelerate careers while strengthening organizations is what ultimately led me to executive recruiting.
  • Favorite quote?
"Success is... knowing your purpose in life, growing to reach your maximum potential, and sowing seeds that benefit others. " - John C. Maxwell
  • Favorite book?
The Ideal Team Player by Patrick Lencioni stands out because it perfectly captures the core traits of strong leadership—humility, hunger, and emotional intelligence. It’s a framework I’ve used throughout my career to build and evaluate high-performing teams.
  • What causes are you passionate about?
Education, faith, and humanity are causes close to my heart. Pouring into them not only helps individuals grow but also builds communities that can thrive for generations.
  • Personal interests?
I enjoy my work at Kimmel, but it’s all so I can spend time doing what I love most: being with my family. Whether we’re hiking, spending time at the lake, going on adventures, or simply hanging out, I cherish every moment.
