Zach CoddingtonSourcing & Digital Recruiting Manager
Zach first joined Kimmel & Associates as an Intern in 2004, as he pursued a BS in Management and Society from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
He then re-joined Kimmel & Associates in 2013. He currently applies his recruiting skills to the growing Digital Recruiting Division.
Zach works hard to ensure that he is assisting his candidates in the best way possible in their pursuit of serving the industry’s top employers while enhancing their own careers.
He grew up around Kimmel & Associates as his father and uncle are Executive Vice Presidents. Outside of the office, Zach enjoys spending time with his wife, Laura, and their son, Nolan.
We sat down with Zach and asked him the following:
- What do you like most about working at Kimmel & Associates?
Working for a family company that prioritizes its people instead of the “bottom line.”
- What is one thing you learned early in your career that has made you successful?
One of the company’s many mantras - “don’t kid yourself” - enabled me to focus on real production.
- What is your greatest strength in your role?
Separating the signal from the noise. The ability to cut to the core of what makes a resume, job post, job board, or database effective at its purpose.
- Describe the most rewarding experience of your career.
Working with my father for several years, helping him break a few records, and then being recognized for my contributions outside of the recruiting skillset.
- Favorite book?
The Lord of the Rings trilogy and the A Song of Ice and Fire book series; of course, I like their film adaptations, too. I’m a sucker for fantasy and sci-fi.
- What causes are you passionate about?
Autism and Down syndrome awareness advocacy.
- Personal interests?
I’m a lifelong Boy Scout, and I love camping, hiking, mountain biking, whitewater canoeing, and road tripping to national parks in our VW camper van.
