We are located in Asheville North Carolina and are currently experiencing a ‘State of Emergency’ in the aftermath of hurricane Helene. We are fully operational at this time but many of our consultants have very limited connectivity, so there may be a delay in our response time. We apologize for this inconvenience and are working diligently to find alternate solutions. If it is urgent please contact our main office at [email protected] or 828-251-9900. Thank you for your patience as we work to get through this challenging time.

Zach Girgenti

Associate

Zach began his career with Kimmel & Associates in 2024 as an Associate in the Waste & Recycling Division.

Prior to joining Kimmel & Associates, Zach amassed ten years of experience in the hospitality and outdoor experience industries, including general and operations management, taskforce management, and training roles.

Outside of the office, he enjoys spending time with his family and friends.

We sat down with Zach and asked him the following:

  • What do you like most about working at Kimmel & Associates?
I like working at Kimmel because it gives me the opportunity to help other people succeed. Helping someone land a job that can transform their future is what drives me every day.
  • What is one thing you learned early in your career that has made you successful?
Slow down to speed up. This applies to work and a lot of different aspects of life. I have found it to be true in multiple areas of my own life.
  • What is your greatest strength in your role?
Talking with people. I have always enjoyed talking with anyone who gives me the time of day.
  • Describe the most rewarding experience of your career.
Hiring someone who ended up with the company for 7 years and worked through the ranks to an executive-level position. Seeing that growth and development of someone you’ve hired is an extremely rewarding feeling. Seeing the grit and perseverance in their work ethic and seeing that employee thrive was by far the most rewarding part of my career thus far.
  • Favorite book?
Tuesdays with Morrie by Mitch Albom.
  • What causes are you passionate about?
The environment! I am a big believer in taking care of the planet as it is the only one we have. Part of the reason I love being in Waste & Recycling is because I can work more closely with some of these large companies that are doing a great job of trying to manage the part of humans that a lot of people don’t think about.
  • Personal interests?
I love to hike, golf, snowboard, and just about anything outside. My fiancée and I are both into the same things, so we often find ourselves somewhere outside every weekend. There is no better feeling than being on a snowboard at 10,000 ft elevation and a bunch of fresh snow in front of you.
