The company is seeking a Vice President for their Paving Western Operation in Phoenix, AZ. This role involves leading the management, direction, expansion, and implementation of projects and business development in the Western region.

The company is seeking a Vice President for its Paving Western Operation based in Phoenix, AZ. This position will oversee the overall management, direction, expansion, and implementation of projects, initiatives, and business development in the Western region

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute initiatives and projects across assigned markets, expanding into other states in the Western region.
  • Provide visionary leadership to meet and exceed business goals.
  • Oversee resource allocation to ensure effective communication and management of project relationships and operational issues.
  • Recruit, train, and develop a high-performing team of project managers, estimators, and field staff.
  • Foster a collaborative and inclusive work environment that encourages professional growth.
  • Define and communicate the responsibilities, authorities, and accountability of direct subordinates.
  • Formulate strategies for early outreach to clients, engineers, subcontractors, and suppliers.
  • Grow and nurture relationships in targeted business markets.
  • Establish a robust network through trade, subcontractor, material supplier, industry, and professional organizations.
  • Conduct market analysis to identify trends, opportunities, and potential risks.
  • Utilize market insights to make informed decisions and adjust strategies to maintain a competitive edge.
  • Interface effectively with all Groups and Business Units within the company.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, a related field, or equivalent work experience.
  • Strong stewardship, understanding and success with P&L and financial acumen
  • 15+ years in paving, asphalt, concrete, or related industries performing similar primary responsibilities.
  • Strong leadership and management skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
