About the Position
The company is seeking an experienced Superintendent with a background in healthcare construction to oversee and manage all aspects of construction projects in the healthcare sector. As a Superintendent - Healthcare, you will be responsible for the on-site supervision of healthcare construction projects ranging from $15M to $50M. You will manage daily site activities, ensure adherence to safety standards, monitor project progress, and collaborate with a team of skilled professionals to deliver high-quality results.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee all phases of construction for healthcare projects, from pre-construction to completion.
- Supervise on-site staff, subcontractors, and vendors to ensure the timely and efficient execution of projects.
- Ensure the project is completed on time, within budget, and according to contract specifications.
- Coordinate with project managers, architects, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless project execution.
- Enforce safety protocols and ensure compliance with healthcare facility regulations.
- Manage subcontractors and oversee the quality of their work, ensuring adherence to project schedules and specifications.
- Conduct regular site inspections and manage project schedules to identify and resolve potential issues before they become problems.
- Maintain accurate project records, including daily reports, material logs, and safety documentation.
- Ensure that the project adheres to all local building codes, healthcare regulations, and industry standards.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience as a Superintendent or in a similar leadership role in healthcare construction projects.
- Experience managing projects in the $15M - $50M range, specifically in the healthcare sector.
- In-depth knowledge of healthcare construction standards, regulations, and safety codes.
- Ability to effectively manage and motivate construction teams, subcontractors, and vendors.
- Proven track record of successfully delivering healthcare construction projects on time and within budget.
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field (preferred, but not required).
- Knowledge of healthcare facility requirements, including infection control, patient safety, and healthcare regulations, is highly preferred.
