About the Company:

The company provides construction management to both the public and private sector specializing in public transit projects. They specialize in the oversight of General Contractors and Subcontractors and have been delivering complex projects with an emphasis on quality and safety while at the same time meeting budget and schedule goals.


About the Position:
Seeking a Project Manager responsible for the execution and delivery of the company's rail and transit projects.

Responsibilities:

• Responsible for execution and delivery of all approved scope of services in accordance with requirements of this contract.
• Primary point of contact for all matters related to this Contract.
• Oversee and/or manage all program management and construction management services performed by the PMSSC.
• Liaise with various entities and stakeholders.
• Identify and allocate resources in a timely manner.
• Manage contract budget and control/monitor costs.
• Implement and foster claims avoidance techniques early in the
project development and engineering phases.
• Assess physical progress of work and regularly report progress and
identify and resolve variances.
• Serve as a role model for Safety, Quality and Efficiency.
• Draft correspondence, letters, reports, and prepare and deliver
presentations.
• Promptly notify the LACMTA Project Manager on all matters related to this project.
• Add value during the design, procurement and construction phase
through improving safety, quality, constructability, reducing claims
during construction and facilitating on time-within budget
completion of the project work.



Requirements:
• Approximately 25 years' experience in managing and delivering alternate delivery rail and transit projects.
• Strong understanding of construction contracts, construction methods, engineering issues and claims management.
• Experience working with Cities in the greater Los Angeles area.
• Experience delivering projects with multiple construction contracts.
• Ability to prepare excellent presentations, reports, and letters.
• Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
• Professional Engineer registration is required. California PE is
desirable.
• Certification as a Certified Construction Manager is desirable.
