About the Position:
We are seeking a Mechanical Estimator on behalf of our client to prepare detailed project estimates using advanced estimating software. This role is crucial in evaluating design choices, assessing costs, and ensuring competitive, accurate, and timely bids. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mechanical systems and estimating methodologies. Key responsibilities include:
- Utilizing estimating software to simulate the construction process and analyze project costs.
- Developing comprehensive and precise estimates that account for mechanical system components, general conditions, overhead, and profit margins.
- Assessing design alternatives to ensure cost-effective solutions while maintaining project quality and compliance.
- Collaborating with project managers, engineers, and stakeholders to refine estimates and optimize project feasibility.
- Preparing and delivering bid proposals that align with company goals and industry standards.
Requirements:
- Minimum of five years’ experience in mechanical engineering, construction, or estimating.
- Familiarity with a variety of HVAC, piping, and plumbing system designs is a plus.
- Expertise in estimating software is required; specific experience with Autobid/Quickpen is a plus.
