About the Position:
We are seeking a dynamic leader to join our client’s team in Indianapolis, IN. The Vice President of Operations will be a key partner on the firm’s Executive Team, and will be charged with achieving the company’s strategic goals, to include market-share growth, business partnership development, and operational momentum. The optimal candidate will have at least 12 years of upper-level management experience in the construction of water and/or wastewater treatment facilities. He or she will have in-depth knowledge of market trends, innovative business models, and industry connections.
Key Responsibilities:
- Developing and managing a team of exceptional, mission-driven professionals
- Building relationships with customers, clients, and vendors
- Daily communication with executive leadership and mid-level management
- Ensuring all projects operate according to schedule and to maximum profitability, while maintaining rigorous safety standards and monitoring compliance
- Identifying opportunities for new business
Qualifications:
- 12 years of senior-level management experience in water/wastewater construction
- A degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a closely related discipline, or commensurate experience
- Strong work ethic combined with exemplary leadership and communication skills
- Ability to forecast industry trends, in the interest of maintaining our client’s status as a cutting-edge heavy civil water/wastewater construction company
- Ability to work on an executive team, then pivot to working independently and taking initiative
