We are currently searching for a talented and ambitious Branch Manager.

About the Position

The Branch Manager will oversee the daily operations of a profitable profit center dedicated to meeting the equipment sale and rental needs of contractors, industrial and commercial companies, and municipalities in South Florida. Reporting directly to the Vice President/General Manager, the Branch Manager will be instrumental in supporting the business plan through revenue generation, ensuring safety, productivity, customer service excellence, and profitability. The role requires a leader with a strong work ethic, a focus on operational excellence, and the ability to drive sales and service efforts while managing a team of employees.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Safety Management: Oversee all safety matters, including audits, safety training, OSHA compliance, DOT regulations, and drug and alcohol testing.
  • Operations Management: Prepare and review operational reports, including profit and loss statements, monthly operation reviews, yearly budgets, and performance forecasts.
  • Team Leadership: Manage all personnel matters, including sales, customer service, service, and logistics employees.
  • Procurement & Supply Chain: Collaborate with Supply Chain to procure parts and equipment, ensuring stock levels meet demand.
  • Sales & Business Development: Data mine project and bidding opportunities, act as a liaison to existing and potential customers and distributors, and prepare quotations.
  • Inventory & Rental Management: Manage rental and sales inventory, track project trends, and inform customers of supply and price trends.
  • Negotiation & Order Processing: Negotiate prices within established limits, secure orders, maintain records, and ensure timely delivery of products.
  • Customer Service Excellence: Build and maintain relationships with clients, ensuring the highest level of customer satisfaction.

Requirements

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
  • Experience:
    • 5+ years of successful business management experience with profit and loss responsibility at a branch or other profit center.
    • Minimum of 5 years of construction supervisory experience with proven sales and customer service success, particularly in commercial and highway/traffic safety.
    • 3 years of equipment rental experience with a focus on safety-related products.
    • Specific experience running a profit center or operation in excess of $5 million in revenues.
  • Skills:
    • Proficient with Microsoft Office suite and other business management tools.
    • Demonstrated leadership, motivational, organizational, and communication skills.
    • Strong teamwork and organizational abilities with the capability to multitask and work independently.
  • Certifications:
    • 10 Hour OSHA certificate or higher.
    • Traffic Control Supervisor certificate (a plus).
    • Six Sigma certification (a plus).
