About the Position:

We are seeking a seasoned Safety Manager to join our client’s team in Madison, WI. The Safety Manager will be responsible for overseeing and implementing comprehensive safety programs on large-scale projects, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations, identifying potential hazards, and proactively mitigating risks through training, inspections, incident investigations, and close collaboration with project teams. Worker safety and promoting a culture of safety excellence will be paramount.

Responsibilities:

  • Developing, cultivating, and promoting a company-wide culture of safety
  • Implementing policies and procedures that are in compliance with regulatory requirements
  • Training and educating all team members and stakeholders in safety best practices
  • Maintaining regulatory compliance through site inspections, audits, and assessments
  • Investigating any safety-related incidents that may occur

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of project management experience in the construction industry
  • A degree in Occupational Health and Safety, or a closely related discipline, or commensurate experience
  • Strong work ethic combined with exemplary leadership and communication skills
  • In-depth knowledge of industry safety standards (OSHA, DOT, etc.)
  • The ability to effectively train and educate team members
