About the role:
Our client is seeking a Head of Solar Development who possesses substantial experience in Distributed / Community Scale Solar Development (Utility Scale Development experience will be considered in lieu of DG Scale projects). The Head of Solar will be directly responsible for working with existing C&I clients, identifying new clients and business opportunities, pursuing new projects, and leading the growing Solar Team from initial concept through project development, project execution and into operations.
Requirements:
• 10+ years of total experience (Preferably in Power / Energy) and 5+ most recent years in Solar Project Development leadership position.
• Quantifiable success with end-to-end Project Development, overseeing projects from concept, through project development and NTP, into construction, and handoff to operations.
• Substantial experience with contract negotiations at all phases of project life cycle, to include project proposal and siting, site control, permitting, design, interconnection, approval, contracting, and financing.
• Proficiency with power purchase agreements, leases, site control, environmental / regulatory, EPC / construction, and renewable energy credit purchase agreements.
• Experience developing and delivering multiple projects ranging in value from $500k to $50MM in value. Ideal candidate will have shown ability to manage numerous projects simultaneously.
• Experience leading a team and having direct reports. Ideal candidate will minimally have managed three (3) direct reports in prior role.
