About the Position
The Project Engineer will play a critical role in supporting the Project Manager and field teams to ensure project goals related to cost, schedule, quality, and safety are consistently met or exceeded. This individual will be responsible for routine on-site construction administration, technical coordination, and supporting project execution through efficient planning and communication. Key Responsibilities:

Assist in field planning and coordination of upcoming construction activities.

Support resolution of on-site challenges in collaboration with Superintendents and subcontractors.

Ensure job site safety protocols are implemented, maintained, and documented.

Provide cost coding and tracking for accounting and reporting purposes.

Assist with contract buyout processes for subcontractors and material vendors.

Draft meeting agendas, take minutes, and support communications across stakeholders.

Prepare weekly progress updates with the PM and Superintendent.

Support cost management, change orders, and project scheduling (CPM).

Review and interpret construction drawings, especially for water, sewer, and storm systems.

Work with inspectors, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure project compliance.

Contribute to project reviews, risk mitigation, and overall process improvements.
Requirements
- High School Diploma required; Bachelor’s in Construction Management or Civil Engineering preferred.

Minimum 5+ years of experience in civil/utility construction.

Strong knowledge of water, sanitary, and stormwater systems, as well as bypass pumping.

Familiarity with excavation, grading, stream restoration, and related scopes.

Prior experience as a Project Coordinator or similar role is desirable.

Self-starter with the ability to work independently and as part of a team
