About the Position:

Seeking a Manufacturing Manager to lead the startup and operations of our new factory in Torreón, Mexico. This role will drive factory setup, scale production, and achieve operational excellence in alignment with financial, quality, safety, and regulatory goals.

Key Responsibilities:

• Factory Setup:
• Ensure regulatory compliance under IMMEX and lead plant commissioning.
• Develop efficient production processes, optimize workflows, and implement quality controls.
• Build and manage a cohesive startup team and establish a scalable budget for equipment, facilities, and inventory.
• Operational Leadership:
• Oversee production planning, quality control, and staff management while fostering a safe and environmentally responsible workplace.
• Drive continuous improvement through lean manufacturing and process optimization.
• Maintain facility and equipment compliance and ensure operational efficiency.
• Develop talent, foster cross-functional collaboration, and model Yamaha’s mission and values.

Qualifications:

• Required:
• Degree in Engineering or Operations Management.
• 10+ years of progressive management in manufacturing, including factory startups and high-volume operations.
• Fluency in Spanish and English.
• Expertise in lean manufacturing, quality systems (ISO 9001/14001), and Mexican regulatory environments.
• Familiarity with IMMEX and Torreón’s labor market.
• Proficiency in Microsoft 365 and ERP systems.
• Preferred:
• Experience with global brands and contract negotiations.
• Master’s degree in Engineering or Business Administration.
• Automotive experience
