About the Position:
The company is seeking a talented and experienced Superintendent to join their construction team in Charlotte, NC. The Superintendent will play a key role in overseeing and managing day-to-day operations of construction projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. You will work closely with project managers, subcontractors, and other team members to coordinate and supervise all phases of construction, from pre-construction through to project completion.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and coordinate the day-to-day activities on the construction site.
- Ensure all work is performed in compliance with company policies, safety regulations, and quality standards.
- Manage subcontractors, suppliers, and labor resources to ensure efficient project execution.
- Review and interpret project plans and specifications to ensure adherence to design and client requirements.
- Maintain accurate records of project progress, budgets, and schedules.
- Identify and resolve potential issues before they become critical problems.
- Ensure all required inspections and permits are obtained and maintained.
- Foster a collaborative and positive working environment to ensure the success of the project team.
Requirements:
- 5+ years of experience in construction management, specifically as a Superintendent.
- Proven experience in the successful delivery of multifamily or mixed-use projects.
- In-depth knowledge of construction processes, building codes, safety regulations, and quality control.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize tasks effectively.
- Proficient in construction management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
- OSHA certification and other relevant safety certifications are a plus.
