Our client is a reputable and growing Heavy Civil Contractor operating throughout the DFW Metroplex, specializing in earthwork and underground utilities for commercial and civil development projects. Known for their responsiveness, safety focus, and ability to handle multiple fast-moving jobs, they deliver reliable infrastructure solutions for a wide range of clients. As they continue to expand their footprint in North Texas, they are looking to add a Project Manager to their high-performing team.
About the Position
This is a hands-on role for an experienced Project Manager who thrives in a fast-paced, multi-project environment. You will be responsible for overseeing 5–7 small- to mid-sized commercial projects per month, managing multiple crews, subcontractors, and plan sets simultaneously. Unlike long-duration highway projects, these jobs move quickly and require exceptional organization, coordination, and decision-making.
Key Responsibilities:

Oversee the full project lifecycle across multiple concurrent jobs

Manage scheduling, budgeting, and subcontractor coordination

Review and interpret multiple plan sets each month for new jobs

Perform takeoffs and support estimating when needed

Lead field teams and ensure safe, high-quality project execution

Serve as primary point of contact for clients and project stakeholders
Requirements

3–5 years of experience as a Project Manager overseeing earthwork and/or underground wet utility projects

Senior PM roles available for candidates with 5–10+ years of experience (salary dependent on experience)

Strong knowledge of takeoffs and blueprint reading

Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment

Experience coordinating crews and interpreting construction documents across several active job sites

Candidates with only single-project experience (e.g., large highway jobs) may find this role uniquely fast-paced
