As they continue to grow and expand their portfolio, they are seeking an experienced Senior Project Controls Manager to join their team.

About the Position

The Construction Inspector will play an essential role in overseeing the installation of sanitary sewer systems, storm drains, underground utilities, street lighting, and traffic signal systems across various public works projects. The inspector will ensure that all installations meet the standards and specifications set by the City of Los Angeles and the County of Los Angeles. A focus on safety, compliance, and quality is crucial in this role, particularly in ensuring pedestrian safety and traffic control during multi-phased projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct inspections for the installation of sanitary sewer systems and storm drains, ensuring adherence to City and County of Los Angeles standards.

  • Oversee the installation of underground wet and dry utilities, working with regional agencies in Southern California.

  • Perform inspections on street lighting and traffic signal systems, following the specifications of the City of Los Angeles Bureau of Street Lighting and the Los Angeles Department of Transportation.

  • Ensure compliance with multi-phased, site-specific traffic control plans, focusing on pedestrian safety and routing.

  • Collaborate professionally with a large team of inspectors to ensure project success.

  • Apply extensive knowledge of City of Los Angeles Standard Plans/Specifications and the Standard Specifications for Public Works Construction (Greenbook).

  • Document and report daily inspection findings, addressing any compliance or safety concerns.


Requirements

  • Experience: At least 5 years of experience performing inspections on large-scale public works projects, specifically sewer and storm drain systems, utility infrastructure, and traffic control measures.

  • Knowledge: Strong understanding of the City of Los Angeles and County of Los Angeles standards and regulations. Extensive knowledge of City of Los Angeles Standard Plans/Specifications and the Greenbook.

  • Skills: Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment while managing inspection tasks independently. Detail-oriented with a strong commitment to safety, compliance, and quality control.

  • Education/Training:

    • High school diploma (or equivalent).

    • 30-hour Cal-OSHA training received within the last 4 years.
