About the Position:
We are seeking an experienced Senior Mechanical Engineer on behalf of our client to lead the design and engineering of HVAC, steam, and industrial process piping projects. This role is essential in developing detailed mechanical designs, ensuring system efficiency, and collaborating with field teams to bring projects from concept to completion. Key responsibilities include:
- Preparing comprehensive HVAC and piping system designs, including load calculations, equipment selection, ductwork and pipe sizing, and control sequence creation.
- Developing project specifications, bid packages, and engineering documentation for permitting and regulatory compliance.
- Providing critical engineering input for estimating teams to support competitive and accurate project bids.
- Collaborating with field teams to ensure proper installation, commissioning, and start-up of designed systems.
- Reviewing operational plans and providing expertise on system functionality, efficiency, and optimization.
- Ensuring all designs align with industry codes, regulations, and best practices.
Requirements:
- Extensive experience in HVAC and industrial piping system design, engineering, and commissioning.
- Strong knowledge of load calculations, ductwork and piping design, and control sequences.
- Familiarity with industry standards, building codes, and permitting processes.
- Ability to work closely with field teams to ensure the successful implementation of designs.
