As their project pipeline continues to grow, they are looking to add a skilled Utilities Estimator to their team.
About the Position
This is a high-impact role for an experienced Estimator who thrives in a detail-driven environment. The Utilities Estimator will be responsible for preparing accurate and competitive cost estimates for wet utility construction projects, including water, sewer, and storm drain systems. You’ll work closely with project managers and leadership to bid on 5–7 jobs per month, each with unique scope and scheduling demands.
Key Responsibilities:

Perform detailed takeoffs from construction drawings (on-screen and/or hard copy)

Prepare cost estimates for underground utility projects

Manage multiple bids and estimates at once in a deadline-driven environment

Collaborate with project management and field teams to ensure pricing aligns with field execution

Assist with bid strategy and subcontractor/vendor pricing

Use estimating software such as Planswift (preferred) and Excel for takeoff and cost compilation
Requirements

2–3+ years of experience estimating wet utilities (water, sewer, storm)

Strong takeoff skills (on-screen and/or paper-based)

Proficiency in Microsoft Excel

Experience working on multiple projects simultaneously (5–7 per month)

Knowledge of Planswift or similar takeoff software preferred

Ability to read and interpret civil construction plans and specifications
