Responsibilities:

Hiring an Assistant Superintendent that is responsible for all phases assisting the Superintendent in all aspects of the construction project including coordinating subcontractors, material and equipment, ensuring that specifications are being strictly followed and work is proceeding on schedule and within budget.


• Assist in scheduling subcontractors, consultants, and vendors to ensure a timely completion
• Communicate with project team regarding material submittals as directed by Superintendent
• Confirm that subcontractors are fully executing and complying with the contracted scope
• Identify subcontractor non-compliance with safety, health, and environmental quality standards
• Advise project team on all conflicts in construction progress
• Ensure the job site is kept in a clean and organized manner
• Assist in budgeting, bidding, and award of subcontracts
• Obtain permits or approval of revisions
• Identify work areas that are outside of the subcontracted scope
• Opening and closing of jobsite each day
• Preside a preconstruction meeting with each subcontractor

Qualifications:

• Minimum 3 years' of verifiable experience through knowledge of trades
• Computer knowledge
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedural manuals
• Structured and organized
• Excellent planning skills
