About the Company:

The company provides construction management to both the public and private sector specializing in public transit projects. They specialize in the oversight of General Contractors and Subcontractors and have been delivering complex projects with an emphasis on quality and safety while at the same time meeting budget and schedule goals.

About the Position:

We are seeking an experienced Scheduler to support the program management team on the project. This role will be responsible for developing and maintaining detailed schedules, performing schedule analysis, and providing recommendations for on-time project delivery. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of scheduling practices, specifically with large civil projects, and expertise with Primavera P6 software. The Scheduler will work closely with project teams to track progress and mitigate potential delays.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain cost-loaded and integrated project master schedules, control level schedules, and detailed schedules.
  • Identify key activities, milestones, constraints, and interfaces to ensure proper coordination among teams.
  • Establish and monitor the critical path of the schedule, assessing schedule variances and their impact.
  • Support project and program meetings, reviewing contractor schedule deliverables in alignment with contract specifications.
  • Perform time impact analysis on potential delays and provide recommendations for mitigation.
  • Develop schedule contingency analysis and perform contingency drawdown analysis as part of forecasting and trend analysis.
  • Evaluate schedule trends and create mitigation strategies to ensure projects are delivered on time.
  • Maintain all data within the LPA Management Information System (PMIS) and ensure it is up to date.

Requirements:

  • Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Business, or a related field.
  • Experience:
    • A minimum of 5 years of scheduling experience, with a focus on large civil projects.
    • Strong experience with Primavera P6 scheduling software.
  • Certifications: PMP (Project Management Professional) or PSP (Project Scheduler Professional) certification is preferred.
  • Skills:
    • Strong knowledge of scheduling principles and project control methodologies.
    • Expertise in time impact analysis and schedule variance assessments.
    • Excellent organizational and communication skills.
    • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
