About the Position:

Hiring an Estimator responsible for estimating, bidding, preparation of detailed written proposals, scope review, contract negotiation, buyout/final pricing, the project setup, pre-construction, and project submittals. Working remotely is not preferred but certainly a possibility.

Requirements:

  • 4+ years of experience in commercial construction with experience in Estimating, including light gauge metal framing, drywall & finishing, rough carpentry, paint, and ACT.
  • Proficient with Onscreen Takeoff & Quick-Bid Software.
  • Reading and interpreting Architectural & Structural drawings.
  • Analyze plan documents and other data to prepare accurate, detailed quantity takeoffs and cost estimates
  • Communicate effectively as part of a team and understand sales and negotiating techniques
  • Comprehensive industry unit pricing to create effective and precise budgets.
  • Communicate with multiple vendors to prepare material costs and up-to-date bid pricing information.
  • Attend project site pre-bid meetings, site tours, and post-bid interviews as required.
  • Coordinate project scheduling to maintain project timelines and commitments.
  • Develop and maintain accurate unit cost databases.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with new and existing clients.
  • Capable of validating subcontractor proposals and vendor quotes quickly and accurately.
  • Skillful in understanding contract specifications.
