About the Position:

We are seeking a dynamic leader to join our client’s team in Louisville, KY. The Area Manager will have oversight of multiple projects in Indiana and Kentucky, and will be charged with assisting the company in achieving its strategic goals, to include market-share growth, business partnership development, and operational momentum. The optimal candidate will have at least 10 years’ experience in managing construction projects that are focused on heavy civil, water/wastewater, and/or industrial infrastructure.

Responsibilities:

  • Managing several construction projects simultaneously, and monitoring progress on those endeavors
  • Hiring, developing and managing a team of exceptional, mission-driven professionals
  • Building relationships with customers, clients, and vendors
  • Ensuring all projects operate according to schedule and to maximum profitability, while maintaining rigorous safety standards and monitoring compliance
  • Implementing quality control procedures and mitigating potential safety risks
  • Identifying opportunities for new business

Requirements:

  • 10 years of senior-level management and/or project management experience in heavy civil, water/wastewater plant, and/or industrial construction
  • A degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a closely related discipline, or commensurate experience
  • Strong work ethic combined with exemplary leadership and communication skills
  • Ability to forecast industry trends, in the interest of maintaining our client’s status as a cutting-edge heavy civil water/wastewater construction company
  • Ability to work with an executive team, then pivot to working independently and taking initiative
