About the Position

The company is seeking an experienced Senior Estimator to join its dynamic preconstruction team. This role offers the chance to be deeply involved in bidding on large-scale infrastructure projects, contributing directly to the company’s continued success. Ideal candidates will bring a strong background in heavy civil estimating, a thorough understanding of takeoffs, and field experience that informs practical, competitive bids.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the preparation of detailed cost estimates for heavy civil construction projects

• Conduct quantity takeoffs and analyze drawings, specifications, and other bid documents

• Work collaboratively with internal teams and subcontractors to develop accurate pricing

• Participate in bid reviews, strategy sessions, and proposal development

• Track historical cost data and maintain estimating database

• Support training and mentoring of junior estimating staff

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience estimating heavy civil construction projects

• Strong proficiency in takeoffs and quantity assessments

• Field construction experience required (preferably with bridge or structural work)

• Experience with bridges and structures is a plus

• Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills

• Proficiency with estimating software and MS Office Suite

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field preferred
