About the Role
Our client is seeking a seasoned Owner’s Representative / Construction Manager to lead ground-up casino and hotel developments. This is a boots-on-the-ground role, requiring daily onsite involvement to oversee construction activities, ensure project integrity, and represent ownership interests from start to finish.
The ideal candidate brings deep construction knowledge, strong communication skills, and extensive experience managing complex hospitality builds.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as the owner’s eyes and ears onsite, ensuring alignment with project goals, budget, and timelines.
- Oversee daily construction activities, site coordination, and contractor performance.
- Conduct regular site walks, inspections, and progress reports to proactively address issues.
- Review and verify contractor invoicing, change orders, and compliance with plans and specifications.
- Serve as liaison between ownership, design teams, general contractors, and regulatory agencies.
- Track project milestones, manage risk, and ensure adherence to building codes and safety protocols.
- Assist in negotiating contracts, securing permits, and driving accountability across all project phases.
Qualifications
- 10+ years of project management experience with a strong focus on casino/hotel construction.
- 7+ years of hands-on field construction experience.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field (preferred).
- Strong knowledge of building systems, construction sequencing, codes, and safety practices.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office; familiar with design/construction management platforms.
- Excellent problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
